Broadcast Code
Every channel has a code that keeps it on the right side of decency. Ours is short, and it applies to all four blocks of the grid.
The hosts
- Each host is an invented adult with a trade and a town, aged 27 to 55 on her slot; nobody is written younger than she is.
- Nobody is cast as your relative, all premises have the agreement of everyone in them, and no show imitates a real presenter.
- Her limits are on her slot, and she keeps them.
The callers
- You must be 18 or over.
- Anything that describes or suggests someone under 18 in romantic or sexual terms is rejected, and may end the account; no exceptions.
- Segments that rest on force, on the private affairs of an actual person or on hurting anybody get cut, whatever their title.
- If you write about hurting yourself, the host drops the bit and points toward real help. Do take it.
Where the picture goes dark
Before anything explicit the screen drops to a test card, on every plan. No host is a real doctor, lawyer or adviser, and each will say that her weather, horoscope or fitness hour is a joke. For anything real, see a real professional.
If a segment goes wrong
Tell the control room at the footer address. It is read by a person, and an account that keeps breaking the code can be taken off the air.
